Light White·Half-Kernel is a premium grade of walnut kernel, obtained by cracking shelled walnuts and then finely grading the kernels. "Light White" refers to the colour grade, indicating kernels that are light yellow or creamy white in appearance – bright and pure, belonging to the light-coloured series in commercial grading. "Half-Kernel" refers to the form grade, indicating kernels that maintain a complete half-kernel shape, commonly known as "first grade" – the most commercially valuable form of walnut kernel.
Light White·Half-Kernel features a uniform light yellow colour, plump and complete kernels, free from impurities and with good dryness. The kernels are crisp and fragrant, retaining the natural flavour of walnuts with no bitterness or astringency. Products of this grade have a complete form and attractive appearance, making them suitable for applications where raw material appearance is important.

Light White·Half-Kernel is produced in Aksu, Xinjiang, using high-quality varieties such as the 185 paper-shell walnut. Aksu is located in the premium nut-growing belt at 41°N latitude, with ample annual sunshine, large day-night temperature differences, irrigation from Tianshan snowmelt, and sandy loam soil – conditions that produce plump, pure-coloured, and flavourful kernels.
The kernels are extracted using the dry-cracking method – walnuts are fully air-dried to reduce moisture content before cracking. This method produces kernels that are light yellow, bright, crisp, and glossy – commonly known as "sun-dried" – and is considered a superior extraction method.
After walnuts are fully air-dried, the dry-cracking method is used to crack the shells and extract the kernels while maintaining their complete form. After extraction, colour grading (Light White, Plain White, Amber, etc.) and form grading (Half-Kernel, Quarter-Kernel, Broken, etc.) are carried out. Kernels that meet the Light White colour standard and Half-Kernel form standard are selected and classified under the Light White·Half-Kernel specification.
Standardised quality control is applied throughout the process, with strict colour and size grading to remove defective kernels and impurities. Finished products are inspected and packed into cartons, with standard net weight per carton, suitable for long-term storage and export shipping.
